Anywho this serie doesn't stick that closely to the novel either. Like the 1988 TVB version there is no Su Ying here. Also Yao Yue falls for Yan Nan Tian here, not Jiang Feng. This sure doesn't make any sense. The 2001 version is a continuation to this one, but the author himself did not ever write a continuation for this novel. So everything there is all made up.
