I'm khmer, not as fluent as i want to be..learn a lot from watching movies. Cant read or write but am willing to learn.

i gues i'm not khmer in ur definition of khmer, i can speak it fluently, translate (but not the greatest translater lol), but i CAN'T read and write
i still consider myself as khmer though, it's in the blood and i was born there

i'll learn how to read and write later when i'm done with college...have too much things to do right now, dont have time to teach myself khmer right now =/

I'm khmer and I speak very well. I learned a lot of complex vocabulary by watching khmer movies but I usually don't use them in a conversation. Unfortunately, I can't write, don't ask me why *cough*
I can understand almost anything someone ask in khmer, but my reading and writing is very poor. I can never sing a karaoke by reading the text, wayyyyy to fast. My cambodian is used only to communicate to older people or people who do not speak english very well.
I use to be able to read short stories but that was like 14 years ago. Nowadays forget it.
