Thread: The Lyricist

I'm a storyteller, whose exterior is always behind the mask.
The individual who has the never-ending task.
Riddles and rhymes, i try to avoid.
Never to shriek and to always be annoyed.

In ink and pen is the tool i most enjoy,
Behind enemy lines, i myself am to coy.
I transcribe ideas well beyond my time
This already sounds like a riddle and a lame rhyme.

On paper it began to appear
I never understood what it meant to adhere.
Predictions of the future i would devise
It was my only form of disguise.

What more can i ask for from paper and pen?
Only to compose of what i have learned up until then.
Behind pen is where i will stay
Never to leave so please go away.
