Hi! I'm looking for my biological dad...
Hi. I'm Korean. Well, I would be half-Korean, if my dad is Cambodian. I was raised by a White guy, who my mom divorced when I was 8. Even though I didn't look like him I visited him on the weekends, thinking he was "dad." When I turned 23 my mom had too much wine and told me my real dad is a Cambodian guy she had a one-night stand with in Alaska while there working at a factory. This would've been around April 1981. My birthday is December 1981. Anyway, she is Korean, may have went by "Jackie" at the time... She doesn't remember his name, but that he was also there temporarily, and supposedly was based in Washington, maybe the Lynnwood area. Help me find him! Willing to pay for DNA test if it gets to that point!!!! I may have siblings I've never met, I have a dad I've never met, and I'm at a point in life where I really, really need answers. That's why I'm here.

Wow, thank you for sharing your background with us, however, there might be other alternatives besides posting through the internet since you did say he was supposedly based in Washington.
I dont know the exact name of the agencies, but they help people find their biological parents...
Why dont you try to post ads on newspaper and your mom's picture in which might not be too safe since there are psychos...
I hope your quest soon comes to an end...Good Luck!

No, I'm not joking (and have never done weed before).
I have refrained from using the agencies because I don't know his name or if he was even a citizen (or if he speaks English).
He probably doesn't know I'm alive. My mom says she was going to abort me, but later changed her mind, which means that she didn't know she had conceived until way after that trip to Alaska.
I'm not SURE he is Cambodian, but that's just what my mom says. From my own appearance, I know I'm full-Asian, so......
Anyway, I found this forum and I'll post an ad with a pic of my mom from that year (and where she was at the time), and see if I get a reply. This isn't easy because, as I said, he doesn't even know I exist, but I actually got a DNA test done with the White guy who I thought was my dad, even though when I was told he wasn't, it seemed fitting, because I don't look White at all. Well, the indexes were so different that I could've submitted zebra DNA and probably would've got a closer match.

I used 2 find my brother by posted an ad to one of the Taiwan newspaper "Chinese language" and i found him in France, at that time i was 10 yrs old resided in Cambodia.
This might help, if you post an ad to one of the Cambodia magazine w/ your mom picture, cuz a lot of Cambodia people like to read or listens to free Asia radio in Khmer instead of English or contact Khmer radio for more info...located at Washington D.C. see below address.

My mom's Laotian side of the family found us through posting ads and pictures throughout the Asian stores.
So, our friends there contacted us and voila
Everything and anything is possible, it only take a few extra steps and effort.

Re:
Yeah, I really needed someone to translate any ad I might put up, into the Cambodian language. I don't know anyone who speaks it, but now that I'm here I will probably have all the help I need!
That link is also handy. I will make an ad with pic, get it translated, and post it somewhere prominent. It's gonna be hard because a guy who doesn't know he has a son isn't going to be looking for him either.
