    bok lahong

    How do you like your bok lahong? I like my spicy and sour with salted crabs.

    I'm married to a laos guy and he makes the best bok lahoung. He uses the crabs too but they are not salted. Its actually sweet but its preserved in garlic sauce. You can get it at the asian store, but majority of them sells the salted one.

    Bok lahong is definitely one of my favorite food.

    I agree, the spicier the better. So spicy till you gets teary.

    I also love to eat it with salt crabs but you can also eat it with tiny shrimps.

    My family eats it with sticky rice, I don't like it haha

    I love bok lahong, not too spicy for me. I don't mind the crab, if it's there the better.

    During New Year, we would go to Laotian's temple to eat bok lahong at night. Their version is so spicy yet so good at the same time. You'll cry when it comes back out. LOL

    Your boklahong look really delicious. I like to have my papaya salad mild spicy with the shrimp paste sauce. That way I can enjoy the flavor.
