When logging on to my computer, I get the following message.

"This copy of windows must be activated with microsoft before you can log on. Do you want to activate windows now"

I click "yes", and it takes me back to the initial page to enter my name and password, and then back to the same message, "This copy of windows...."

Does anybody have any suggestions to help me fix this problem?
please help me

that easy your window xp is copy version so it when you update it tell you that it fake and you need to format your pc with the real window xp

uhm, I think I might have the regedit commands to edit that might help...

But worst case you will have to reformat your OS.

i got a better idea when you install your xp use this serial code but remember it got to be window xp or window xp sp1 it a special serial code that make it vaild without window crack

kevin7126, before you go ahead and do any of this, why don't you just give us a little more info. is this a kracked version or did it come with your machine? if so you might be going to a lot of trouble to hack it when it might just be a phone call to ms support. if it is a non legit version then hopefully one of the solutions above works for you. most people actually have a legit windows key and don't even realize it. comes with most machines. my guess is that your trying to upgrade an old machine but figured i'd ask.
