Animation Class: chapter 01
first things first i need all my students to come up with a design, keep it simple we just want basic text, choose a font and a color. don't get all fancy with icons or anything yet, we'll do that later.
for now just open up photoshop. choose a type and type out khmer fun.nice big letters (fill the screen) and keep each later on it's own layer. for the first assignment we will do everything "NTSC" thats 720px by 486 px. so in photo shop we will make a new comp at 720x486 (72 dpi) and type out your text 1 layer for each letter. for some of you advanced types we will deal with aspect ratio and interlace vs non interlace later, we just want basics, at start.
i will do this also and post up my psd file. when everyone has settle on their look please post your psd files also. it will be much easier if i can look at your files ahead of time before we move on to the next step.
if your really interested in resolutions and format sizes i will go over these later also. this is 720x486, as opposed 720x480 and why go square pixel or rectangle pixel. just crap that really doesn't matter unless you plan on seeing your work for tv.
