Thank you very much to all of you.
I just look at the link "How to Use CALL INTERRUPT with QB, Basic PDS & VB (Complete)"
from Pokemon. However, I cannot test it right now because what I want is:
. I want to use interrupt in VB6 to check the interrupt event on LPT port. Normally, for COM port, the interrupt on received bit is embeded on MSCOMM.ocx but it is not the case of LPT
. I need to build hardware to test the LPT port. Now, I am in Japan, I cannot do this.
. I am looking for the OCX or DLL that have build in such fuction. I found it from the internet
the DLL such as inpout32.dll that can be used with window Me, NT, and XP (what I have tested) but this DLL provide only the read and write ability to LPT port.
As you know, interrupt is very important when we want to track the input that will happen unpredictable in the time. The pull-up method (scanning) cannot be used in the case the input will happen very short.
Anyways, thank for your effort and kind heart. What I consider is not the result but your heart. Hope one day, I will find what I want.
Right now, I can use COM port (fully), LPT port (fully if without interrup), and USB port (beginning).
Take care with love to all of you

Personally, as I am in electrical and electronic engineer, I know how to use the Microcontroller to control or to build some stand alone equipment in most of the time. However, if we can use parallele port (LPT) or serial port (COM) to communicate with external world, we can get many benifit, especially when the stand alone requirement are not needed. With PC, we can store alote of data. Let say, we want to monitor the weather for 10 years, in that case, a PC with external hardware such as temperature sensors, pressure, humidity, water level... may be used to monitor the surrounding environment and then send the report to PC to store up. As the USB is more popular in this era, I would like to used USB as well as the communication port between PC and my custom hardware.
Take care with love.
