This is off the current topic. Can someone help clarify this situation for me?
I went out and got myself them double layer dvd+r for the iso (image) files...that I have downloaded and copy of my own. I tried burning the image to the DVD but keep getting error messages after it attempt to burn the file (not a space issue). I've tried 3 different software and it all come back with an error; PowerISO, Active@ ISO burner, and sonic. Could it be possibly be a copyright issue or am I missing something?
Double layer just means instead of 4.7 gb, the disc can hold twice that. From reading your post, I can't tell specifically what the problem seems to be. Other than not being able to burn the disc, what is the exact error message. It could have something to do with the burner not recognizing the discs. If so, try updating the firmware of your drive to the latest firmware (though there ought to be some unofficial firmware updates that will work better than the official ones). Nowadays with all the new cds and dvds coming out, some old burners need firmware updates to recognize them, especially if you're using non name-brand ones. Hope this helps.
The double layer is mean the size two time the original dvd (4.7GB) if you want to copy that you can not use Power ISO or or your software te. you nice software that can covert from double layer to single layer, but when you covert from double layer to single layer the quality will lost some maybe about 20 to 40% but for normal watch it is ok and for American movie it is still hight quality and it hard to tell it is different too. if you make your own double layer and u put all full into dvd then you covert it to single layer then the quality will lost about 20 to 40%. I have one software I use for long time call DVDFab Platinum. there are alot of kind of software for covert for double layer to single layer that you have search around.
the one I use it is easy just one click done lol.

any input? I appreciate all the help I can get.
Have you tried DVD Decrypter or Nero? I just bought dvd +r DL layer 8X and I've tried both worked for me.
I think his issue has more to do with the burner not recognizing the media. No software will fix this problem unless the burner can recognize the dvds. One suggestion if the burner is only partially burning onto the media is to burn at a much lower speed. Usually that helps. But the only real way to rectify this is to update the firmware or to get a new burner as it's usually old burners that need firmware updates.
There is two way to do that one u use PowerISO and break file into 2 DVDs or use this software DVDFab Platinum or other to burn ask normal DVD but that software it work only with movie te. if you want to burn something else like game or file that no way you can do it. oh if Copyright issue u can use AnyDVD (Software) to unlock code.

Again his issue is not with the original dvds, it's with the recordable media. He has stated he's trying to burn from an iso. It's got nothing to do with copyright (as it is an iso), and breaking it into 2 dvds is only a suggestion if you plan on burning it onto single layer media. It's a firmware issue. Firmware is what is needed to recognize the latest media. Like I stated earlier, old burners need to update their firmware so that the newest dvdr and cdrs cam be recognized as such.
Thanks everyone for all your help. My CD/DVD drive doesn't recognized the dl DVD. After several different attempt, I guess the only option is to add a new DVD burner that are DVD DL compatible. In the mean time, I will have to shrink the file to fit into one regular DVD.
Everyone has been a great help and so supportive. Thanks again. Hope everyone enjoy what is left of their weekend!
