I like the movie way more than the anime, I couldnt get passed the 3rd episode, er actually I skipped around after that. both Death Note movies were great, funny how the movie left out some interesting characters from the anime though.

hrmm.. i beg to differ.Maybe im biased because i watched the anime first but I find the anime to be more detailed and clear, thus allowing you to enjoy and understand the story much beter.

The anime really got me hooked on during the first 19 episode or so, but then the quality of the story decline as i feel its starting to drag abit.

The movie on the other hand seem very fast paced but nevertheless a good adaption to the anime. I was very impressed at the chosen actors - they look so alike to the anime lol!

^ True, I think I was on my "impatient" type of mood, but as I rewatched the anime I found out there were 2 other people besides L and having that extension felt better rather the two quick "run through" movies.

I have a little more respect for the anime now

to tell you the truth i love the beginning but in the end it seem like they got desperate, and wanted a way to end it. i don't know if kira really would of fell apart like that. still very good as a whole but i wonder if it should of ended with just L.

ok I seen somewhat of the first movie of deathnote because I was curious about the characters. They picked a guy who looked a lot like L, he did well. Now on the other hand in my opinion the guy who played KIRA isn't any like the guy in the anime. The anime character had a cuteness to him that the actor didn't have but that's just my opinion. They did a great job on the shimgami? Definitly!
